What is convergence? :: Small Group Material

I have never met a college student that does not like Donald Miller. He has a way of relating to them and the things they face. His books are beyond popular and they catapult great, life-changing conversations.

Now, he has partnered with a team of huge names to create a new resource that I believe could help campus ministers plan for small groups and Bible studies.

If you haven’t heard about it yet take some time right now to explore the website. If you’ve used it already I would love to hear your feedback.

It’s called Convergence :: Where Life and Faith Meet.

You can also follow Convergence on Twitter.

Take some time to check it out.

  1. I just bought the 3 DVD’s for Impact. When I watch them I’ll do a review.

  2. I’ll be interested in your review. I got the free sampler DVD a couple weeks ago…still haven’t watched it yet. I am super interested though (obviously.)

  3. We’ve been using them for our small groups this semester. They are great conversation starters, though one of the DVD’s features Laura Winner, who is a bit hard to follow/watch. Our student leaders really like the format of watching the video and then having a conversation (sometimes we use the provided questions, sometimes not…we as a leadership group watch the video ahead of time and ask our own questions to help steer the conversation in a meaningful direction). Very easy for student leaders who are not confident in leading an in-depth Bible Study and these videos are really geared at getting us to get past the superficial “how are you doing this week?” type of conversation and actually getting us to share life together. I strongly recommend them.
